Sarah Carr has been chosen by the Liberal Democrats to succeed Paul and she will be standing at the next General Election. Sarah was Paul's campaign manager when he was first elected in 1997. Sarah will continue to be a strong voice for Hereford, Ross-on-Wye and South Herefordshire in Parliament should she be elected. KEETCH CALLS FOR NON-POLITICAL RESPONSE TO POST OFFICE CLOSURES CONSULTATION

The imminent announcement of proposed Post Office closures across Herefordshire has prompted Paul Keetch, MP for Hereford, to call upon his counterpart in the north of the County, Bill Wiggin MP and the group Leaders on Herefordshire Council to meet with him to plan a joint response to the consultation, putting aside any political differences they may have.

KEETCH LISTENS TO ENRAGED TRADERS

Business people on the Holmer Trading Estate, Hereford, turned out in force on Wednesday to meet MP for Hereford, Paul Keetch, in whose constituency their businesses are located, to put to him their anxieties over a planning proposal on the Trading Estate land.

KEETCH DELIGHTED WITH ACADEMIES ANNOUNCEMENT

Paul Keetch, Lib Dem MP for Hereford, was advised personally by The Lord Adonis of the Department for Children, Schools and Families, that funding has been secured for the development of two new Academies in his constituency. The first is to be built on the site of the Waldorf Steiner School, Much Dewchurch, and will be known as the Hereford Steiner Academy. The second replaces Wyebridge Sports College, formerly Haywood High School, and will be known as the Hereford Academy.

KEETCH DIVES IN TO CONTROVERSY OVER L.E.A. POOL'S FUTURE

Paul Keetch, MP for Hereford, has followed up the concerns of many constituents who have contacted him regarding Herefordshire Council's controversial plans to axe the LEA Pool at Hinton in Hereford. Mr Keetch has come out in support of calls for its retention already made by local councillor, Aubrey Oliver, and the Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate, Sarah Carr.

It was with great pride that Paul Keetch, MP for Hereford, participated in the ceremony to welcome back from Iraq armed forces personnel from 4 Mechanised Brigade when they visited the Palace of Westminster yesterday.
