LOCAL MP CONGRATULATES HEREFORD UNITED

Following Hereford United's triumphant victory in the Conference playoffs, local MP Paul Keetch has tabled a parliamentary motion in the House of Commons congratulating them on their promotion to the second division of the Football League.

Commenting following the match, Mr Keetch said:

"This is fantastic news for both Hereford United and the City. After nine years in the football conference and to have been so close on several occasions, this is a monumental victory for the club.

"I was there to witness this at first hand and the atmosphere was electric - Graham Turner and his football squad have done the city and county proud. I encourage all members of the House of Common to sign the motion and join in the celebrations."
